Tales from the table

Start, Scale, Soar

01 December 2018 at The Larder, Fitzrovia

There's quite a frontier between being an early-stage, seed-funded start-up and operating as an established player.  How is that best bridged? How do you remain innovative and agile when scaling from small to significant? How should the many spinning plates be triaged? And how do you transition from being founder to CEO, and your team grow from being jacks to masters?

To explore this rich subject we are inviting 7 carefully chosen members who are the founders of different, non-competing companies in adjacent sectors, all at a comparable stage of growth.

This is a chance for them to dig into these subjects with a group of trustworthy peers, share their knowledge and wisdom, discuss challenges, create new opportunities, pool networks – and feast on a delicious breakfast.

"You must have the advantage of the experience, education, native ability and imagination of other minds" - Napoleon Hill

If you’re invited, we're confident that at the very least we will leave you feeling energised and invigorated with fresh company, new ideas and valuable connections. Our Tables are “doubly curated”, meaning that from within our membership we have handpicked a group who we strongly think ought to meet each other and whose paths might not ordinarily cross.

Further details are set out below.

Themes of the Breakfast

  • Business in the twenty-first century
  • The entrepreneurial mindset

Recommended event

How do we get comfortable with the idea that in the wholeness of our being there is a lot of darkness and pain? Should 'regeneration' should be our mission, because 'sustainability' is no longer enough? Are you being most courageous when you feel least strong and most vulnerable? If leadership is fundamentally a process of self-discovery, then how much can others, including coaches, really assist?
